WH rewards corrupt union thug with plum post to payback agency
President Barack Obama’s most recent recess appointee to the National Labor Relations Board is the former general counsel to the International Union of Operating Engineers, a union with a near-Hollywood past of corruption and organized crime, according to Fox News.

Richard Griffin was general counsel for the 400,000 member IUOE prior to being recess appointed, without any congressional scrutiny, and sworn in on January 9. Griffin will serve until December 2013, twice the typical NLRB term due to the timing of his appointment at the beginning of a congressional session.

IUOE is tied to a number of criminals and mobsters, among them:
  • Andrew Merola, a ranking member of the Gambino crime family, who admitted to 9 separate acts of racketeering in connection with a no-show job with the union.
  • Joel Waverly Cacace Sr., acting boss of the Colombo crime family, who is currently serving a 20-year prison sentence. He conspired with members of the union to secure a no-show job for his son.
Reports about the IUOE detail further cases of embezzlement, wire fraud, racketeering, extortion, workplace sabotage and bribery. More than 60 members of the union have been arrested under these charges in the last decade.

We're All in The Brotherhood Now

The Big Left Tent opens wide for global H8ers
President Obama phoned the Muslim Brotherhood’s Mohammed Morsi on Sunday evening to congratulate him on becoming Egypt’s new president, the U.S. Embassy in Cairo said in a Twitter message around 7 PM eastern time.

Iran’s foreign ministry also hailed Morsi’s victory, declaring that Egypt was in the “final stages of the Islamic Awakening and a new era of change in the Middle East.”

Celebrations were reported in the Gaza Strip, where tens of thousands of Palestinians demonstrated. Hamas leader called Morsi’s win “a victory for all Arabs and Muslims.”

Hamas, the terrorist group that controls Gaza, was set up in 1987 as a Palestinian branch of the Muslim Brotherhood. Its founding charter calls for Jews to be killed and says all Muslims are duty-bound to join a jihad to destroy Israel. The U.S. government has designated Hamas as a “foreign terrorist organization” since 1997.

Class struggle(in Marxist ideology) the conflict of interests between the workers and the ruling class in a capitalist society, regarded as inevitably violent.
"Oh [Muslim] brothers, the nation that excels in the death industry, and knows how to die a noble [death], Allah grants it a precious life in this world and eternal bliss in the Afterlife. The only weakness that shall humiliate us is the love of this world and hating death. Therefore we have prepared your souls for great action, strive for death - and life will be given to you."-- From Palwatch translation of The Muslim Brotherhood handbook.
