Stimulus Funds to Create Interstate Trough SystemWashington, D.C.--President Obama and Congressional Democrats announced today that stimulus funds would be used to create the first-ever interstate trough system, greatly facilitating the nation's ability to connect with the federal government's ever-increasing stream of taxpayer-paid, debt-driving programs.
"These 46,000 miles of trough will connect Americans everywhere to Washington," said Obama. "From now on, all you'll need to do is pull over to the side of the road, roll down your window, and drink deeply from the mother's milk of the Nanny State."
Administration officials also assured unions and other government interests that the interstate trough system would contain enough "loopholes and bypasses" to ensure their continued special access to the government feed.

Labor-staters: End it, don't mend itQuick, name the most liberal state in the union. Odds are strong that most people would instantly name Caifornia, Massachusetts or New York as the answer.
A new Rasmussen Reports survey of public opinion in New York finds a solid majority of respondents favor repeal of Obamacare, with 56 percent overall favoring and 41 percent saying they strongly favor repeal.
Only 42 percent oppose repeal, with only 31 percent, or slightly less than one-third, strongly opposing repeal, according to Rasmussen.
These figures place New York firmly in the national mainstream of opinion on the issue of repealing Obamacare:
"The latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey finds that 58% of voters favor repeal, including 48% who Strongly Favor it. Thirty-seven percent (37%) are opposed to repeal, with 28% who are Strongly Opposed," Rasmussen said.
