SEIU thugs bloody another critic

What did Andy Stern know and when did he know it?

According to a leftwing smear group that calls itself 'Media Matters':

"In November 8 comments posted on his Twitter account, Andrew Breitbart accused Service Employees International Union president Andy Stern of "sending SEIU goons" to "beat up innocent Americans."

However, the article to which Breitbart linked offered no evidence to support the claim that Stern was involved in violence at a local SEIU office in Sacramento, and it reported comments from local SEIU leaders that disputed the purported victim's account of the incident.

Breitbart to Stern: "Stop sending SEIU goons 2 beat up innocent Americans." On his Twitter account, Breitbart accused Stern of sending "goons" to inflict violence on California state employee and SEIU critic Ken Hamidi. Breitbart also challenged Stern: "Lets settle it like men, u&me. Im dead serious." (from: mediamatters.org)

We don't need no stinkin' anti-communism

Up until now, the President of the United States has always been the leader of the free world.
"World leaders past and present will be in Berlin today for the 20th anniversary of the fall of communist repression's most visible symbol: the 112-mile concrete wall that split the city for more than a quarter-century.

Conspicuously absent: the president of the United States, Barack Obama. Obama's folks say he's too busy to accept German President Angela Merkel's invitation to attend today's festivities

It's pathetic that Obama won't be there -- and telling, as well." (from: nypost.com)

Obama's forced-unionism racket exposed

Stimulus - Big Labor protection scheme hits speed bump
One of President Barack Obama's first acts in office was to rescind an Executive Order barring union-only Project Labor Agreements (PLA) on federal public works construction projects. This was a huge boon to Obama's Union Boss friends.

PLA's are bid rigging and protection racket schemes under which the construction owner agrees to use only union labor, thus driving up the cost of the project at the public's expense, while the unions guarantee "labor peace."

To put this in perspective, picture a thug at a candy store in Chicago telling the store's owner that for a weekly payoff his windows won't be broken and his customers will not be molested. The cost of the weekly payoff is, of course, passed along in higher prices to the purchasers of candy. The thug has the additional economic responsibility to impose the same terms on all other candy stores in the area so that his client won't be at a disadvantage.

Now comes the U.S. Department of Labor with plans to build a Jobs Corp Center in New Hampshire and advertises the bid specifying a PLA.

And, to the public's rescue comes North Branch Construction which protests to the Government Accountability Office with the assistance of the Associated Builders and Contractors. According to The Truth About PLA's "the Department of Labor canceled its unlawful PLA mandate the day before the agency was required to file a response to our bid protest."

Workers picket v. oppressive UFCW today

We don't need no stinkin' contract vote
Fry's workers hoping to stop their union from calling a strike against the grocery chain will hold a rally Monday morning at 10 a.m. Organizers said they plan to picket outside union headquarters on 2401 N. Central Ave in downtown Phoenix to show their opposition to member leadership, who they say have barred them from voting on a new labor agreement with the employer.

The United Food and Commercial Workers Union Local 99, which represents most hourly employees at Fry's and Safeway, has threatened to call a strike if the companies and the union fail to reach a contract deal by 6 p.m. Friday. (from: azcentral.com)

Dem sore loser raps ACORN big

Did union-backed fraud group spokesman defraud his political client?
Democrat Janine Materna’s campaign is considering suing its consulting firm, the Advance Group, for $1 million, and claimed that consultant Scott Levenson’s position with the controversial ACORN group was among the reasons Ms. Materna lost the South Shore City Council race.

“It’s because of him that Janine lost the election,” said Jodi Materna, her sister’s campaign manager. She said the campaign did not know of Levenson’s ACORN affiliation and if it had, “we never would have hired him.”

A coalition of community groups, ACORN has been ensnared in controversy over hidden-camera videos and other incidents that have spawned law enforcement probes. Levenson, ACORN’s national spokesman, said it was a “true sign of political immaturity to scapegoat anyone for Janine’s loss.”

The lawsuit threat came after the Materna campaign temporarily stiffed Levenson’s Advance Group, which is not connected to the Staten Island Advance, of close to $40,000 in fees after campaign mail was delayed from reaching voters. “They can’t blame me for not delivering the mail,” Levenson said. Obama Administration policies create or save record joblessness
"Unemployment has reached 10.2 percent. That doesn't include unemployed workers who have abandoned their job search or accepted part-time work. Those two groups would push the unemployment rate to a staggering 17.5 percent.

With the Bureau of Labor Statistics Household Survey showing that 3.8 million jobs have been lost since January, no one but President Obama believes that this year's massive increase in government spending has created or saved 640,239 jobs and the economy would have been even worse without the 'stimulus' package." HeathCare: You are not the customer

The Berlin Wall fell 20 years ago. The U.S. Congress and the Obama Administration are busy rebuilding it.
"American health care kills. And it's because markets for health care services are grossly distorted. That's the assessment of businessman David Goldhill, whose father died of a hospital acquired infection. Goldhill wrote up what he discovered subsequently in an article for the Atlantic Monthly entitled, "How American Health Care Killed My Father. One of the key problems in American health care, he says, is that the consumer of health care services or products is rarely paying directly." (via CatoInstituteVideo)
