Sunday wrap

Obama: 24/7 wrong, abandons America, spreads viral PLA, running on Astroturf, confuser, marionette.

Mismanagement: Countdown to Judgment Day, drowned in snake oil, spin MDs exposed, Alinsky snubbed, Liberal Fascism, Fourth Estate fail, ACORN forever, Michael Steele fail, Pat Quinn fail, representation fail.

International: Vlad takes on LatAm, SEIU hearts Hugo.

All wrong, all the time ... It can be easily demonstrated that President Barack Hussein Obama is all wrong all of the time, on the momentous issues of domestic and foreign policy. But what would you expect of an inexperienced, untested, unvetted rookie who has never accomplished anything in his life, and who has a radical, leftist, socialist view of the world, and who is hopeless naive and grossly egotistical. He not only is consistently wrong on major decisions, but also is so in love with himself that he learns nothing from his mistakes and just keeps repeating them. He is an narcissistic personality, as demonstrated by his recent speeches such as the one in Denmark, where he focused on himself instead of the Olympics, Chicago and the U.S. (thebulletin.us)

Not the America we used to know ... Candidate Obama charmed inexperienced, poorly educated youth and disaffected elders with promises of an undefined abstraction called change. That change, we now can see, was to be forcible imposition of Obama's true religion, secular socialism. Change that candidate Obama promised turns out to be restructuring society to achieve social justice, which in the socialist lexicon is egalitarian redistribution of income and wealth. That means higher taxes, tight regulation of all sectors of the economy, and further enervation of a population increasingly dependent upon the political state for its sustenance. Obama's PLA virus: Disgrace ignored by unionist MSM ... The federal government is building a new $35 million Jobs Corps Center in Manchester, N.H. And true to its word, the Obama administration is requiring it to be built under a "project labor agreement," better known as a PLA. PLAs pervertedly are touted as giving taxpayers more bang for their buck. Union labor supposedly assures "greater quality" because "fair" wages must be paid, which promotes "labor peace" and efficiency. Actually, it's nothing but bribery, extortion, collusion, discrimination and restraint of free trade all rolled into one putrid ball -- and all sanctioned by the government you bankroll. There are no convincing arguments for project labor agreements. And using them to tap the public purse to pay off an ever-shrinking minority -- organized labor -- in an attempt to bolster it for political gain should be a criminal offense. (pittsburghlive.com)

Countdown to Judgment Day ... The Tea Party Express — the rollicking, 7,000-mile cross-country journey by conservative grass-roots activists vexed by big government, health care reform and heavy federal spending — is gearing up for Part 2. In two weeks, the whole shebang begins again. Welcome to "Countdown to Judgment Day," the name inspired by the approaching one-year mark before the 2010 congressional elections. Snake oil drowns U.S. ... He is losing the race because he is losing the people, willingly dropping a baton too cumbersome for a free-spirited independent America. These free citizens have suddenly become "town hall mobs," as Speaker Nancy Pelosi and the Democratic National Committee have labeled them. I am just one of those 60-year-olds who look on and cheer the television when average Americans get off their couches and lodge their protests in person with their representatives from Washington. And the change is palpable. Suddenly, while once there were cheering voters hoping for perks at election time, and smiling politicians with the obligatory kissing of babies (while holding their hands in the pockets of lobbyists), the dynamic has become different. The hard questions were asked at the August town halls about the sudden rush to "health care reform." Then, like lords and royalty, these now pompous politicians seemed astounded that the peasants would dare rise up and challenge their agenda. So what did they do? They ran, especially when some clever television news outlets showed how ACORN and union interests were really the Astroturf being bused in to disrupt the true grass-root grannies and Middle America. The people start suspecting government when too much snake oil is dumped on them. (sun-sentinel.com)

Spin Doctors exposed ... And here’s a brief political donation history of other top DFA docs compiled by Brian Faughnan at theconservatives.com:
• Dr. Hershey Garner (who stood on stage with Obama at the White House event): more than $10,000 in donations to Democratic candidates since 2001.
• Dr. Winfred Parnell: More than $5,700 in donations to Democrats since 2001.
• Dr. Michael Newman: $4,550 in donations to Democrats since 2001.
• Dr. Boyd Shook: $3,500 in donations to Democrats since 2002.
• Dr. Jan Sarnecki: $3,400 in donations to Democrats since 2004.
• Dr. Amanda McKinney (who also flanked Obama at the White House event): $2,750 in donations to Democratic candidates since 2001.
• Dr. Tracy Nelson: $1,500 in donations to Obama.
• Dr. Stanton McKenna: $1,000 in donations to Democrats since 2001.
• Dr. Jason Schneider: $600 in donations to Democrats since 2001.
• Dr. Biron Baker: $500 donated to Obama last year.
• Dr. Nick Perencevich: $500 in donations to Democrats since 2008.
• Dr. Elaine Bradshaw: $500 in donations to Obama last year.
Who unveiled Doctors for America earlier this spring? No, not ordinary citizens outside the Beltway. The decidedly un-grassroots sponsors of the Doctors for America launch were Democratic Sen. Max Baucus, chair of the Senate Finance Committee, and the left-wing Center for American Progress, which is run by liberal operative John Podesta and underwritten by far-left billionaire George Soros. Obama Progs: Running on empty leftwing Astroturf ... President Barack Obama said Saturday he's seeing "unprecedented consensus" behind overhauling health care, though he acknowledged continued partisan gridlock in Congress. "The historic movement to bring real, meaningful health insurance reform to the American people gathered momentum this week as we approach the final days of this debate," Mr. Obama said Saturday in his weekly radio and Internet video address. The consensus "includes everyone from doctors and nurses to hospitals and drug manufacturers" - even Republican governors and former GOP lawmakers, President Obama said. (cbsnews.com)

Alinsky snubbed by Nobel committee ... Raising his voice to be heard over this noisy tug-of-war between Pecksniffian mental astaticism and Islamic nose-wrinkling Obama, ever ready to comment on anything, expressed surprise at winning the Peace Prize. However, "To be honest, I do not feel that I deserve to be in the company of so many of the transformative figures who've been honored by this prize -- men and women who've inspired me and inspired the entire world through their courageous pursuit of peace." Translation: Why didn’t Saul Alinsky win the Peace Prize? He transformed me! (capmag.com)

Confused in Wilmington ... Even though I went to college, I am confused about the positions that have been taken by our government on several issues and would like to comment on a few of the discrepancies. 1. Why is it that the people who are worried about waterboarding are the same people who support abortion? 2. Why do the same people worry about the smelts in California rather than the farmers desperate for help? 3. Why does the president have time to have a beer with Professor Gates and originally said that he had no time to worry about ACORN? 4. Why does the president take so many trips using Air Force One (140 speeches since elected with the trip to Chicago costing over $260,000, when he told us that we have to sacrifice)? (delawareonline.com)

The Puppet-Masters ... What did the unions get for the $400 million they spent electing Barack Obama? Name an Obama policy position and I’m betting you’ll find a union or ACORN (but I repeat myself) standing right behind it. Find a union and you’ll find an Obama policy position. During his presidential oath, Obama swore to uphold the Constitution. I fear that he really meant the SEIU’s constitution. (hotair.com)

Liberal Fascism cited ... About the only recent successful title that harks back to the older intellectual style is Jonah Goldberg's "Liberal Fascism," which argues that modern liberalism has more in common with European fascism than conservatism has ever had. But because it deployed the incendiary f-word, the book was perceived as a mood-of-the-moment populist work. Had it been called "Aspects of Illiberal Policymaking: 1914 to the Present," it might have been received differently -- and sold about 200 copies. (pittsburghlive.com)

The Fourth Estate fight against freedom will never end ... Uncle Sam has imposed an income tax on me, a gas tax, a food tax, a diesel tax, a sales tax on goods and services I buy, a tax on property I own and vehicles I license. This gives me a God-given, tax-paying right to demand Congress explains to me answers to so many troublesome questions I have about our government and those in charge: Who is surrounding the president in the White House? Are the president's advisers working to better America or their own ideals? Who is really responsible for crafting the legislation currently being proposed? Who creates emergencies and "rush-to-pass" legislation? Why isn't every czar being vetted by Congress, and what are their real motives? What specific roles do George Soros, John Podesta and Jeffrey Immelt play with the White House administration and Congress, and explain the "spider-web" relationships between ACORN, the Tides Foundation, AmeriCorps, the Apollo Alliance, labor unions, the Center for American Progress and special interest groups? Who are the people in Washington fighting desperately against capitalism? Who in this administration is connected to the Movement for a Democratic Society? Why does our president desire a civilian national military force just as powerful, just as strong, and just as well-funded as our military? Who is the domestic enemy? Please, answer my questions so I feel renewed and refreshed that Obama is truly the beacon of "hope and change" that 52 percent of Americans voted for last November. Since ABC, NBC, CBS and the New York Times (among many) refuse to ask questions and demand answers, I will boldly do it for them. In closing, please tell me how well each of you sleeps every night as your head hits your pillow. (missoulian.com)

Old leftwing soldiers never die ... As soon as the “internal investigation” is concluded, I anticipate the federal government will announce an investigation to determine that all federal funds received by ACORN are properly accounted for. About two years after that announcement, there will be a little announcement in the second or third sections of American newspapers stating the investigation of ACORN has been concluded. The announcement will also include a brief statement that numerous instances of sloppy bookkeeping and some irregularities and missing records were noted but there was insufficient evidence of fraud and no prosecution will be attempted. The Justice Department spokesman said it would recommend to Congress all previous allocations to ACORN be reinstated and an additional $500 million be awarded for pain and suffering. Washington will remain the same. (delawareonline.com)

GOP's big Michael Steele problem only getting bigger ... The most recent e-mail sent out by Michael Steele claimed that by noting that Hamas and some Republicans had similar reactions to President Obama’s Nobel Peace Prize win, the Democratic National Committee was “calling Republicans terrorists.” For those of you who never passed high school English, the point of the analogy was not to say that Republicans were terrorists, but to compare the reactions of two different groups. The analogy was quite offensive as it was, really; there was no need to make anything up about it. (Actually, I was more relieved to see that there are those on the left willing to unequivocally state that Hamas is a terrorist organization.) This is, unfortunately, not some bizarre anomaly in the Steele canon; the man is one notch above Joe Biden in his propensity for gaffes. Because of the torrent of health care-related news, it generally went unreported that Steele heaped praise upon Bertha Lewis, the head of ACORN, in a recent speech, claiming that she was doing all that she could do get rid of the “bad apples” in the organization. GOP Governor hearts ACORN ... First of all Thank You. Here is the first step in ending ACORN in Illinois by signing the Say NO to ACORN Petition. Governor Pat Quinn’s inbox is being flooded by thousands of taxpayers like you who have urged him to launch an investigation into ACORN and its affiliates like SEIU. But before Pat Quinn will listen, he needs to hear from more taxpayers like you and I. Please help by asking 5 friends to sign the petition. Governor Pat Quinn is very invested in ACORN because of over $30,000 in campaign contributions that have flowed into his campaigns coffers from ACORN and SEIU. He needs to hear from thousands of more taxpayers before his inbox fills up and he realizes that he must take action immediately. Please, help us tell Pat Quinn he needs to launch an end to corruption in Illinois. Tell 5 friends today! (cdobs.com)

True representation gone missing ... We have representatives in both houses serving 30 years and more — accepting gifts, etc. — holding their seats! The legislator's time in office involves directing his business — that is; collecting funds, keeping up with donations, etc. All of this is a full time job for the representative, and there is no time for true representation. We also have an administration void of the truth and less than acquainted with our Constitution. Charlie Rangel (due to a lifetime in office) is in charge of the powerful Ways and Means Committee. He has admitted to allegations of owing thousands of dollars in back taxes, and the Democratic Party does nothing! A regular citizen would be in jail! The representative, if elected for two consecutive terms, has contributed all the bright ideas he has; and after the second term, should be required to step aside for one term before seeking office again. This would provide opportunity for a new representative, with new goals, and ideas to advance our country. This is true representation! Term limits is the only way for our country to survive! Raise your voice for term limits! Give generations to come a life! (theleafchronicle.com)

International Collectivism

Obama throws Monroe Doctrine under the bus ... Ecuador's leftist President Rafael Correa said on Saturday he will travel to Russia late this month to strengthen ties aimed in part at enhancing his country's defenses. Correa is a critic of Washington and an ally of Venezuelan President Hugo Chávez, who is building up his military with Russian weapons. (reuters.com)

Hugo Chávez steps up for Andy Stern, SEIU ... Chávez also spoke of an initiative Venezuela was taking while in New York to host a meeting with African leaders. Eddie Molina, an activist who has organized much labor solidarity with the Stella D’Oro workers, asked if the Venezuelan oil company Citgo could buy the plant and keep it in the Bronx. Chávez responded with great seriousness and very specific questions. He asked the leading representatives of Citgo, who were present, to meet the workers for a feasibility study. The next day, in his speech to the U.N. General Assembly, Chávez took time to formally asked President Obama’s permission to buy the plant in order to keep it open in the Bronx. (workers.org)
